  • What is the aim of the site? To provide a place onine where people can discover sustainable solutions and share their experiences of them with one another so as to bring them to a wider audience, learn from one another and so improve their own livelihoods and ways of operating their businesses.
  • How do I get in touch with people on the network? Once you have signed up, you can comment or join in any discussion.
  • I have a question I want answered. How do I start a discussion? Click on the tab marked Forum at the top of the wepage. Now click where it says +Add a discussion. Enter your question's title, add some more detail about the specifics in the box marked 'Post' and choose some relevent tags (topic titles), to make it easier for others to search for the question.
  • How is the site financed? All financing is by the site's creator, Jeremy Smith.
  • I want to invite other people, what do I do? Click on the tab marked invite at the top left of every page.
  • I want to write a story for the blog. What do I do? Run your mouse over the tab marked 'Solutions' at the top of the page and then click the Blogs tab on the drop down menu. On the new page. click where it says where it says +Add a New Blog Post and then fill in your Blog, tag it accordingly and press the button marked 'Publish Post'. It will then be sent to the moderator for approval before being published on the site. For more detailed information, click the drop down tab under solutions marked 'contributing guidelines'
  • I have some ideas for the site's development, what should I do? Send a message to Jeremy Smith
  • What if someone doesn't have internet access but wants to benefit from information on the site (or share information that could benefit other users)?We are developing the site so that some of its information will be available by people with mobile phone access. If you have any suggestions for how this might work best, please let us know.
  • How is the information on here protected? All information on this website is designed to be shared for the good of the community and wider world. However, all information and work is protected under the terms of a Creative Commons license
  • Why can't I add extra functions to my profile? Whereas most social networking sites ar designed simply to be places to chat with like minded people, and to share photos, songs or whatever else takes your fancy, Ivili is designed to help people comunicate in order to share solutions that can help them in the real world. For this reason we have kept the gadgets on the site to a minimum. If, however, you feel that the site's efforts to achieve its aims, or your efforts to achieve yours would benefit from additional functionality, please let us know.
